Here’s everything I’ve been up to when I’ve been neglecting this blog:
Lately at Care2:
The RCMP officers who tazed Robert Dziekanski to death will be charged with perjury. Nothing more.
A British Columbia woman spent 7 weeks stranded in the wilderness after the GPS steered them wrong.
Sean Avery supports gay marriage. A hockey agent who doesn’t even represent Avery thinks he should have kept his trap shut. Hilarity ensued.
Manitoba Floods and Alberta Fires and Watermelons exploding in China.
If you live in Ottawa, you might want to check who owns the Shell station where you fill up. One local Shell owner likes to hire new immigrants and forget to pay them. And in Vancouver, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of a woman accused of keeping a slave.
And just in case you thought I’d forgotten all about the election: Stephen Harper thumbed his nose directly at the electorate by appointing a pile of folks who’d lost in their election ridings right back in to the senate.
While this is too late for you to use this year, you should really bookmark it for next year: The Guide To Mother’s Day For Bad Dads Everywhere.
In the “Blogging As Vehicle For Being An Asshole” category: Did you know there’s a blog specifically intended to take pictures of kids in strollers and mock them for being too big?
And finally, some navelgazing: Is what you want, always what you want?
Finally, I’ll be speaking at the Social Capital Conference in Ottawa on July 23. You should come!
